FACTS TO CONSIDER ABOUT JESUS THE KING OF
THE JEWS AT THE TIME OF HIS PUBLIC ENTRY
INTO JERUSALEM:       MARK 11:1-11

 1)  He came to Jerusalem with a purpose, out of necessity  Mt. 16:21 “I must go”

 2)  He took the initiative (lead) in preparation for His entry into Jerusalem 11:1b

 3)  He knew the future 11:2, about the colt

 4)  He had control over the untamed colt 11:7c  Col. 3:16,17

 5)  He brought the colt, sat upon it and rode in deliberately to fulfill prophecy
Mt. 21:4,5    and Mt. 5:17,18

 6) He was a genuinely humble man, though a genuine King (rode a colt not a horse)
Phil. 2:5-8

 7)  He publically presented Himself to the Jews as their Messiah, to draw attention
to His upcoming death (for their sins) and resurrection from the dead

 8)  He accepted their homage and claimed to be the Son of David  Mt. 21:15,16

 9)  He lamented over Jerusalem, knowing what was coming in the future upon its
unbelieving people    Lk. 19:43,44

10)  He demonstrated His power over physical ailments    Mt. 21:14

11)  He looked around about upon all things (seeing & knowing all) and went
to Bethany        Mk. 11:11

Life Application Questions For You:

       As Jesus looks around and at you, what does He see?

1.  “The ways of men are before the eyes of the Lord, and HE ponders
all of his goings,”      Proverbs 5:21

2.  Does He see you as a believer in Him as Savior, obediently serving HIM
(I COR. 15:3,4,  Acts 16:30,31
OR one who has not trusted in HIM by faith alone as Savior?
(John 1:11-13)    (Prov. 14:12)  (going his/her own way)
