WHAT WOULD YOU SAY??

What would you say if someone asked you – Do you believe that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
actually happened?  Would you say – Yes He arose from the dead, or No it did not really happen?
Why would you answer Yes or No?

My Answer to the question – Yes, I believe Christ actually arose bodily from the dead!!
Listed below are 6 evidences that the bodily resurrection of Jesus really took place –
1). The Bible says He arose from the dead (several places).  One reference is I Corinth-
ians 15:20 – “Now Christ is risen from the dead”.
2). His Tomb was Empty.  The angel at the tomb said, “He is not here,” Matt. 28:6.
The fearful disciples did not steal His body.  The Jewish leaders told the soldiers at
the tomb to say His disciples came and took the body.  The crucified, wounded
Savior did not get up and roll the 2 ton stone away.  The only explanation – He arose!
3). The Lord Jesus appeared many times to people after His resurrection.  “He showed
Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty
days and speaking to them.”  Acts 1:3
4). The Changed lives of the disciples (& many others also through the centuries) after
seeing-believing in the risen Christ as Savior.  (compare Matt. 26:56b with Acts 2,3,4)
(Do you know of someone who really changed once he/she believed in the risen
Christ as personal Savior??)
5). The Existence of the Church (numerous local groups) in about 200 countries around
the world, now almost 2,000 years later.
6). The Age-long observance of Easter & Good Friay every Spring.

Ponder the 6 evidences if you would!

Also, remember this fact about the Resurrection of Christ.  It is an essential part of the
Gospel.  The Gospel is “Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, according to
the Scriptures.”  I Cor. 15:3,4.  Jesus said, “Repent and believe the Gospel,”  Mark 1:15.
Why does a person need to believe His resurrection really took place?  Romans 10:9 & 13
answer this question – “If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved” & “For whosoever
shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Believing it actually happened is a
part of believing faith in Christ as one’s personal Savior, of being truly saved, of having sins
forgiven, and of having eternal life.

What do you say about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ?  Yes or No?  Of course it
is up to you about what you believe about it.  As for me, truly believing Jesus Christ died
for my sins and rose from the dead is the “Best Choice” I have ever made.  It gives me
help for the here and now and great hope for the here-after.
